The first thing you will notice are the beautiful churches and chapels that dot the land, nearly every lane has a beautiful little chapel. Some of these churches date back to when the Portuguese lived here. A lot of the old architecture is Portuguese, most of the old houses lie to ruin while some have been maintained and are simply spectacular.

Curlies, located next to Shiva Valley on Anjuna beach is also a great place to hang out during the day and in the night, if Shiva Valley isn't having a party then Curlies is an awesome place to be. Again the beats of thumping psych music, the beach and the moon make an ideal party place.
The flea market at Anjuna beach happens on every Wednesday. You are bound to go over board spending as this market has a vast array of stuff that you definitely want to take home with you. There are few hundred stalls that cover a large part of the fields around the Anjuna beach area. A perfect way to spend your Wednesday, get a beer and stroll through the dusty lanes while you hear "Come my shop, I give you good price" from nearly every stall keeper.
Hilltop is another awesome party place, close to little Vagator beach and Nine bar. In the night with the music, decor and lights its like fairy land. The trees are painted neon and each tree has a black light so the effect is pretty cool, even better if you're tripping. Among the psychedelic trees is where you dance and should you need to take a break, you can chill on a mat at any one of the many tea stalls that dot the entire circumference of the party. Here you could have tea or biscuits or even an omelet sandwich which is pretty good or you could simply chill over a mint tea and smoke a joint and enjoy the amazing surroundings.
